Mullapudi Venkata Ramana

It is heavy on my heart to know that Mullapudi Venkata Ramana is no more. Right from my childhood, I have strong admiration towards his writings: from the classic Budugu to most recent Kothi Kommacchi. His Telugu translations of books like Around the world in 80 days are among my first taste of English Fiction. His vital contributions to unforgettable movies like Bhakta Kannappa, Mooga Manasulu, Sampoorna Ramayanam, Saakshi, Mutyala Muggu, Manavoori Paandavulu and Pelli Pustakam make lasting impression on viewers. Whenever I watch any of these movies, the (story/dialogue/screenplay) writer really stands out with simplicity yet strong impact. May his soul rest in Peace and hope Bapu can cope up with this.
