Flat?

21 Dec

Friday, Dec 19th is an interesting day. BSE Sensex, US DowJones and US NASDAQ: all are up or down by less than 1 percent from the previous day. Even if we consider the change from last Friday, none of these indices have gone through a major gain or fall.

Is this going to be a flat season for a while? Let us see.

Santro Servicing

21 Dec

My Santro went for servicing on Saturday. I got a call from technician that the front shock absorbers are completely gone and they need to be replaced. The trunk struts are gone too, but they don’t have the spares in stock. Overall, it is a long service session. They messed up with the FM antenna during the last service and refused to fix it. So I had to take it to the service manager. Eventually, the FM antenna got fixed too.

The service session costed me about 7,250 Rupees (about $150US). That too, with the trunk struts not replaced yet. :-(.

BTW, the prices of Santro are down to a bare minimum right now. The GLS model, with Dual fuel (LPG and Petrol) feature is not being sold at 3.87 lakhs. The offer is valid till tomorrow I guess.

The first test match

16 Dec

The first test match between India and England is a very good one. Both teams have put in their best efforts. England dominated in about 9 of of the 14.5 sessions, but India finally walked away with the match. I got a glimpse of the match, especially Shewag’s batting, on Sunday afternoon. A very nice watch.

Audio Review – Neninthe

14 Dec

Expectations soar high for a Puri Jagannadh, Raviteja and Chakri combination. But this album doesn’t live up to those expectations. However, a good filming may make the album hit. That is the typical case with many of Puri’s films.

  • Veluge Varshamaithe is a fast paced duet. Can live upto Raviteja’s histrionics.
  • Krisha Nagare is a solo by Chakri that would take you to Telugu fim industry. The beats are good.
  • Nuvvantene is a song that may not live on its own. Needs life support from the rest of the album. Tries to repeat the magic of Amma Naanna O Tamila Ammayi by inserting a few Tamil words. Let us see how it works.
  • Puduthune Uyyala sounds more like an item song.
  • I love the track Oh I Miss You. Raghu Kunche’s voice and the tune are simply superb. I visit this album repeatedly just for this song.
